First off, if you are familiar with the 'new region' pokemon RPGs that seem to be popping up on forums, you probably dont need to read this. This is for people that don't understand the concept.
Slifer is a text-based, post-by-post RPG. It is a pokemon RPG set in the new region of slifer! You create a Character Profile and begin roleplaying in the Denman Lab.
Text Based
This means that almost everything is done with words. No fancy flash programs, damage systems or anything to install on your computer. This allows (and requires) literacy, as explained in the rules, so that threads are enjoyable to read and moderate.
Post by Post
One of the main rules of Slifer is that you do not powerplay other characters or things you do not control. Once you create your profile, you post in the Denman Lab. I'll use a thread by Will as an example, click here to read it.
This is how Slifer and sites like it work. Will posts that he approaches the lab and knocks, and one of the moderators comes and replys as Professor Wattle. Will alternates posts with the moderators, and controls his character. The Moderators control Professor Wattle, and basically everything else in the Slifer universe. The only thing you control is what happens to your characters, and your characters pokemon.
If you still don't understand, head on over to the Route One board and have a read of a few threads.

Quote:HAH. 7/7/07. That would be weird.
Off topic for a minute... That's when my sister's getting married, and I'm the maid of honor. That would REALLY piss her off, too, since I'd have to leave in the middle of the wedding to get the book >.> |
